NIKKO PANELLA SWEEPS ENTIRE DUAL AT DELTA SPEEDWAY WEEKEND, TAKING FOUR VICTORIES

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (September 7, 2026) – Defending Super 600 and Non-Wing champion Nikko Panella of Stockton pulled off an impressive performance during the Dual at Delta Speedway on Saturday and Sunday, winning the features in both classes on both nights. Panella’s four Micro Sprint triumphs led the weekend of action which also included a weekend sweep in Jr. Sprints for Huxcen Roush as well.

Panella kicked off Sunday’s Non-Wing action by leading qualifying before Matthew Linde, Mason Muraira, and Austin Stone won the ten-lap heat races.

Multi-time Delta Speedway track champion Caden Sarale of Stockton led the way in the feature after starting on the front row while Panella was the centerpiece of furious battling behind him. An incident on lap 21 gathered contenders Jarrett Heimlich and Justin Johnson.

Panella emerged in second and ready to challenge Sarale for the lead. Panella and Sarale exchanged slide jobs with Panella leading by a nose with seven to go. A caution flew and Panella was credited with the lead. Nikko Panella preserved the lead over a pair of restarts to take the coveted victory. Incoming second in points TK O’Brien finished second followed by Brody Rubio, Panella, and Joey Stearns.

The Super 600 victory for Nikko Panella was much more straightforward, dominating the feature from the pole position. Raio Salmon of Fresno finished second followed by Madera’s Logan Trevino, Alex Panella, and Conner Bell. Nikko Panella led time trials while Trevino won the heat race.

A-Class championship contender Levi Osborne of Tracy won Sunday’s finale for the Dual weekend, taking the feature from the pole position. Osborne paired the performance with a fourth place finish on Saturday night as well. Lucas Mauldin of Rancho Murieta led time trials while Kinser Bell, Saturday winner Dash Duinkerken, and Osborne claimed the heat races. Osborne drove away from Duinkerken on a late race restart with just eight laps to go. Duinkerken made an attempt at the lead in lapped traffic with two laps remaining to no avail. TK O’Brien finished third followed by Brycen Roush, and Bell.

Blake Bookout of Visalia claimed the Sunday Restricted 25-lap feature against an outstanding 28-car turn out. Bookout also was the evening’s fastest qualifier. Haven Sherman, Tatum Talcott, and Alex Ranuio won the heat races. Brooks dominated the feature ahead of Maultin, Kevin Tikkanen, Bryson Sozhino, and Arizona visitor Easton Cambensy. Saturday winner Cash Brooks finished eighth.

Huxcen Roush of Riverdale won both night of the Jr. Sprints competition, with Sunday’s win coming ahead of 2026 points leader Lucas Fenn of Oakley. Reed Dias finished third followed by Logan Fenn and Santino Gonella. Saturday’s top-five were Roush, Gonella, Lucas Fenn, Logan Fenn, and Dias.

Championship night looms large for Delta Speedway with racing action on Saturday October 3rd.
