STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (May 28, 2026) – A wide-ranging entry list of 59 Non-Wing Micro Sprints have entered to compete for Saturday’s $10,555 prize in the inaugural Mattix Salmon Memorial at Delta Speedway. Delta Speedway track champions are well represented including Logan Trevino, Alex and Nikko Panella, Jake Andreotti, Isabel Barnes, Caden Sarale, Brandon Carey, Lucas Mauldin, and Briggs Davis. Jac Laneyrie has traveled from Minnamurra, New South Wales, Australia for the event. Cole Roberts, Kris Carroll, and Brody McLaughlin are entered to represent Oklahoma. Austin Torgerson is the lone Arizona pilot hailing from Glendale.

Among the many exciting entries includes the return of Clovis’ Jade Avedisian to Micro Sprint action along with Michael Faccinto of Hanford returning in search of another crown jewel Micro Sprint victory.

A strong field of 23 Non-Wing Restricted entries have also been filed. Illinois’ Braxton Flatt will travel to the Golden State with a long list of accomplished competitors to battle with. 2025 Delta Speedway Restricted champion Briggs Davis defends his home turf in the wingless action.

Jr. Sprints are also set to roll with seven entries filed at press time.

Registration will be available at the gates which covers two full days of racing and includes the two-day driver pit pass. Pit passes for additional crew are $30 per day.

Both nights are a two-heat race and main event format. Drivers will be seeded into the heat races via pill draw and earn passing points. The second heat race will be a complete inversion of the first. There will be a C-Main and a B-Main if necessary. The top-five finishers in Friday’s mains lock into the inside of the first five rows of Saturday’s finale. The top-five in points after Saturday’s heat races lock in for the outside of the first five rows.

Friday’s Non-Wing winner will earn a $500 bonus. Saturday’s A-Features will be lucrative with $150 paid to start in Jr. Sprints and Restricted and $250 to start the Non-Wing feature. The race leader on lap five on Saturday in Non-Wing earns a $500 bonus. The fastest driver on lap five earns $555. The Non-Wing Hard Charger pays $1100 while Jr. Sprints and Restricted each pay $400 to the Hard Charger.

Each class will have a free race suit given away on Saturday night. The first five non-transfers from the Non-Wing and Restricted B-Mains will earn cash as well, along with a hard luck award in each class on Saturday night.

Total awards will be over $50,000 for the two-nights of action at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds. Event merchandise will also be available at the event.
