Copeland also led qualifying before chasing Trey Daniels of Fort Bragg in the early stages of the event. Daniels spun from second in the second turn with 30 laps remaining, but staged a furious comeback to finish on the rear bumper of Copeland at the finish of 125-laps of excitement. Stockton’s JoJo Stearns had a steady race in the third position followed by Eric Gannon and Rich Cobb. Tracy’s Ryan Philpott, Canadian visitor Kyle Cottom, and Lakeport’s Ian Elliott all spun in turn three in fluid on lap nine, ending each driver’s event. They were all uninjured but the incident required an extended clean up.

The other significant incident of the race was a three car skirmish with Luke Hall spinning, then collecting both Brandon Barnwell and Dennis DelBiaggio on lap 47. The race was a fast-paced affair over the final 80 circuits that followed.

An outstanding 34 INEX NorCal Legend Series cars took on the Shasta Speedway with ARCA Menards Series, West race winner Tanner Reif enjoying victory after a 35-lap feature. Cody Winchel of Sebastopol finished second followed by former series champion Brandon White of Eureka, Trey Daniels, and his older brother Aidan Daniels. Steven Gannon won the 20-lap B-Main.

Modifieds returned to Anderson with Tracy’s Scott Winters continuing his tradition of victories across most asphalt facilities in the golden state. Winters won the 35-lap feature against Windsor’s Sammy Nuno and Potter Valley’s Simi Tour. Brian Collins and Calvin Hegje rounded out the top-five.

Raymond Taylor, Jr. of Laytonville traveled over to Anderson to win the 30-lap Street Stock season opener. Brian King of Redding finished second followed by Scott MacLeod, Kevin Owens of Sacramento, and Tim MacLeod.

Mark Felch drove from 14th to win the 25-lap Hornets main event. Peter Smith III, Colton Stankley, Brian Mollath and Chris Cushing were the top-five finishers.
