KLOTZ SYNTHETICS PRESENTS OPEN WHEEL SHOWDOWN MODIFIEDS IN 2026
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 16, 2026) – Klotz Synthetics has signed to continue as the title sponsor of the Modifieds at the Open Wheel Showdown, helping elevate the event to an outstanding $10,000 to win in 2026. The fourth annual Open Wheel Showdown hits the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on November 5-7.
The Klotz Synthetics Modifieds presented by Cometic Gasket have been one of the success stories of the Open Wheel Showdown, showcasing some of the top short track talent on the west coast on the .375-mile Bullring. Las Vegas’ Aaron McMorran won the inaugural edition worth $5,000 to win. The 2025 race was claimed by California’s Kyle Tellstrom for a $7,500 haul. The $10,000 prize is expected to attract an even larger field of drivers from the west, Rocky Mountains and Midwest for the 75-lap championship feature.

Registration opens March 1 for the 2026 Open Wheel Showdown featuring the $50,000 Winged Sprint Car feature, $10,000 to win Larry Triguerio Memorial for Speed Tour Super Modifieds, Legends, Bandoleros, and more potential classes to be added later.
Race weekend programming includes a Wednesday kick off gala dinner at the South Point Hotel & Casino, with tickets on sale at www.OpenWheelShowdown.com which are moving quickly. Thursday is the optional practice day before Sprint Cars, Modifieds, and Legends will participate in qualifying night action ono Friday November 6. Championship features are Saturday November 7.
