SHASTA SPEEDWAY RELEASES 2026 RACING SCHEDULE

ANDERSON, CALIFRONIA (November 20, 2025) – After a very successful 2025 season that included 34 different Super Late Model competitors earn points, Track Promoter Steve Schmitt has released the 2026 Shasta Speedway schedule that features five action-packed race dates. The season will start on April 4th, followed by May 2nd, May 30th, September 12th, and October 3rd. Photo by Twisted Road Photography

Each of the events will have the Super Late Models on the schedule, with other classes being announced at a later late. The first four dates will be points races while the annual Shasta 125 on October 3rd race will be a stand alone event as it continues to grow to its former glory days.

Anderson’s Derek Copeland won the 2025 Super Late Model championship on the strength of four $2,000 race victories across the five 125-lap events. He earned the $10,000 grand prize in the points fund as season champion.

Coquille, Oregon’s David Miller took home $7,500 for second and was the other $2,000 feature winner. Joey Stearns of Stockton finished third for a $5,000 award, followed by David Dillinger from Anderson and Melaine Schmitt from Redding. In total over $32,000 was paid out in points fund money for the five-race series.

The 2026 points fund and payouts are being worked on at the present time and will be released in the near future. Among the highlights is the popular $450 tow money for drivers towing over two and a half hours will remain in effect.
