PENULTIMATE LATE MODEL RACE AT MADERA SPEEDWAY HITS THE TRACK THIS SATURDAY
MADERA, CALIFORNIA (September 17, 2025) – San Jose’s Jay Juleson and Oregon’s James Hamlin lead the Pro and Jr. Late Model championships at Madera Speedway heading into Saturday’s eighth and penultimate round of the 2025 series. The Mission Pro Late Model and 51FIFTY Jr. Late Model action will be joined by Pro Sportsman, INEX Legends, INEX Bandoleros, and MSTs in the RACER-Network televised racing. Main events begin at 6pm. Adult tickets are just $20, seniors and military are $15, youth ages 6-12 are $10 and kids five and under are free. All tickets will be sold at the track ticket booth.
Race fans can “Join” www.YouTube.com/ShortTrackTV for $19.99 per month for a members-only live stream as well. The races will be televised at a later date on RACER Network.
Juleson has lifted his points lead to an outstanding 79-point advantage over Atwater’s Jason Aguirre. Juleson has a strong chance to clinch the 2025 championship a race early with a solid performance in Saturday’s 80-lap feature. Aguirre is locked in a tight battle with Coarsegold’s Will Martyn and Fresno’s Rick Thompson for second in the standings. Kyle Keller’s three consecutive wins have lifted his to fifth in the standings in a standout, part-time season. The 80-lap feature is split across a 50-lap opening segment and a 30-lap race to the finish.
The 51FIFTY Jr. Late Model battle for drivers ages 10-16 years old is considerably closer. Oregon City, Oregon’s James Hamlin leads Santa Rosa’s Eli Black by just six markers. Hamlin has one victory this season while Black has parked it in victory lane twice. Clovis’ Skyler Schoppe has a win as well and is third in the standings. Washington’s Hunter Gates and Ramona’s Bristol Borneman are the balance of the top-five drivers. A 70-lap feature is scheduled this weekend.
Joseph Holiday has a 38-point lead in the growing Pro Sportsman class. He leads Steve Schermerhorn in the championship battle. Eureka’s Kadence Toland has raced to third In the points in her rookie Madera season. Joseph Reuchmuth and Andrew Reis rank fourth and fifth with a 30-lap main event on tap.
Lillie Cook leads the INEX Legends while Chloe LaMatina leads the INEX Bandoleros as well.
Saturday pit gates open at 1pm with the drivers meeting at 2:30pm. Practice begins at 3pm. Qualifying hits the track at 4:35pm followed by heat races. Opening ceremonies are at approx. 6pm with all main events to follow.
