KENNA MITCHELL GOES FOR TWO IN ROSEVILLE, WINS PRO AND SUPER LATE MODELS AT ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (August 31, 2025) – Defending Wild West Super Series and Berco Redwood Late Model champion Kenna Mitchell of Loomis enjoyed two trips to victory lane in Saturday’s NASCAR First Responders Night at Roseville’s All American Speedway. Mitchell won quick time in the Late Model time trials then lined up sixth following the invert. She charged through a two-by-two battle for second to claim that position by lap 11. She ran down Carson City’s Bobby Hodges quickly, scoring the lead on lap 14.
Auburn’s Colton Nelson and Sparks, Nevada’s Mia Wright collided for a caution on lap 19. Auburn’s Thomas Martin slid into Mitchell on the restart, sustaining nose damage that dropped him out of contention. Incoming second in points Joey Kennealy of Madera advanced past both Eric Price and Hodges to take possession of second place. A caution on lap 35 for Wright spinning gave Kennealy a shot at Mitchell. He chose the outside line for the ensuing restart. Mitchell successfully defended a cross over attempt to hold the top spot.
Mitchell dashed to her second consecutive Berco Redwood Late Model victory, followed by Kennealy, Price, a resurgent Nelson, and Hodges.
The Super Series action saw Mitchell drive through the field steadily, not taking over the top spot until the 52nd lap of the 75-lap affair. 2021 NASCAR California State Champion John Moore of Granite Bay led the opening lap with pressure from 2007 track champion Eric Schmidt of Roseville. Schmidt took over the lead before the lap 27 competition caution. Mitchell then entered the frame, challenging Moore for second. Mitchell and Moore came together in turn two, sending Moore sliding through the infield but he was able to re-join the speedway without damage. Mitchell reeled in Schmidt rapidly for the first position. Mitchell took over the top spot on lap 52, leading the field into the lap 54 caution flag.
Schmidt picked the outside of Mitchell on the restart yet Mitchell retained the lead. Madera Speedway champion Joey Iest spun in turn two, giving Schmidt another shot at the lead. Schmidt drove around the outside to lead lap 59 by a nose and then spun with slight contact into turn one to bring out the caution flag. Mitchell retook the lead while Schmidt worked his way past Moore and Iest for second. Mitchell led the final 15 laps comfortably for her third career Super Series triumph. Schmidt finished second followed by Iest in third.
Kris Price prevailed in the Berco Redwood Modified feature over the strongest field of the season. After a wild battle at the front of the pack, Price drove past Rick Andersen of North Highlands for the lead on lap 10. Multiple spins and cautions followed, including Lincoln’s Luke Kaper tagging the backstretch wall while driving points leader Tyler Wentworth’s No. 17 car. Kaper was uninjured. Nick Lyons of Loomis slowed to a stop on the front stretch on lap 32, requiring a green-white-checkered finish. Price drove away from former Super Stock champion Andrew Peeler for the win. Andersen finished third while Jose Hernandez finished a strong night in fourth. Bud Anderson finished fifth.
The balance of the night’s features were wire-to-wire performances by the race winners. Following an opening lap skirmish between Tyler Lucero and Dean Wilkins in the NAPA Super Stocks, Phil Wilkins inherited a front row starting position. Wilkins took full advantage, leading all 30-laps. Points leader Tim Walters settled for second followed by Terry Thomas, Jr. of Antelope.
Vic Theberge of Citrus Heights set fast-time in F4 qualifying then drove for the outside pole to lead all 35-laps of the feature for his first win of the season. Former champion Ray Molina finished second followed points leader John Sproule of Orangevale, Thomas Cherry of Citrus Heights, and Stockton’s Lelani Sprenkel.
Tyler Batzianis of Elk Grove took over the INEX Legends points lead following his first career win in the 25-lap feature. Nevada’s Brooks Anderline debuted with a second-place finish with Bill Cummings in third.
Madera’s Kellen Keller extended his points lead in the Jr. Late Model action with a dominating performance in the 25-lap feature. Clovis’ Skyler Schoppe and Sparks, Nevada’s Mia Wright rounded out the podium.
