Nikko Panella of Stockton and Fresno’s Mattix Salmon resume their battle for supremacy in both the winged and non-wing varieties of Micro Sprint racing this weekend. Salmon won a brilliant race against Isabel Barnes of Brentwood to claim the Non-Wing victory during the seventh points race of the year on August 16th.

Panella still enjoys a healthy 40-point lead ahead of Salmon despite the win. Manteca’s Brody Rubio ranks third followed by Stockton’s Vito Celli and Brentwood’s Jeffrey Pahule. Non-Wing races for 30-laps each night of the Dual.

The margin between Panella and Salmon in Super 600 has grown to 48 markers. Alex Panella of Stockton has been red hot all summer, climbing to third in the standings and within 10 points of Salmon. Raio Salmon and Celli make up the balance of the top-five ahead of 30-lap features on Saturday and Sunday.

Landon Henry of Sacramento scored his second win of the season on August 16 in the Stock A-Class, inching closer to his first Micro Sprint championship with a lead of 51 points over Tracy’s Kyle Fernandez. Jackson Tardiff is third followed by Levi Osborne and Aniyah Scott.

Briggs Davis of Manteca has a triple digit lead in the Restricted battle, using his third win of the year during round seven to take a 103-point advantage over Maya Mauldin of Rancho Murieta. Connor Penix, Dean Skrifvars, and Bryson Sozinho remain the balance of the top-five with 25-lap features this weekend.

Easton Wright of Martinez has increased his Jr. Sprints points lead to 22 over Lucas Fenn of Oakley with Samantha Dozier of Vacaville a further nine points back in third. Santino Gonella and Logan Fenn are pursuing from fourth and fifth in the standings with 20-lap Main Events this weekend.
