THIRD RACE OF 2025 SHASTA SPEEDWAY SEASON HITS ANDERSON THIS SATURDAY

ANDERSON, Calif. (June 24, 2025) – The exciting season of action at Shasta Speedway hits the track in Anderson this Saturday night June 28th. A full pack of Super Late Model drivers from both Northern California and Southern Oregon continue their battles in a 125-lap feature. An extra large field of INEX Legends compete when the NorCal Legend Series joins the action. Bombers and Hornets will also be competing. Photo by Twisted Road Photography
Grandstand seats are just $15 for adults with kids 12 and under admitted free. Tickets available at the gates at 5pm or online at www.ShastaSpeedway.com Racing begins at 7pm.
Derek Copeland of Anderson is two-for-two in Super Late Model competition this season, claiming a pair of $2,000 first place prizes as he battles for the $10,000-to-win championship. Coquille, Oregon’s David Miller finished sixth in the season opener before putting together a runner-up finish in round two. Miller trails Copeland by ten points in the SLM championship hunt. Louie Shaha of Fortuna, Dane Nissen of Williams, and Lane Anderson of Fort Bragg round out the top-five. 13 drivers have participated in both races while a total of 20 different drivers have competed across the two races. The revival of Late Model racing in the region continues with Saturday’s 125-lap feature.
Fort Bragg’s Kylie Daniels won the INEX Legends 35-lap feature on May 31 while the opening night win with the NorCal Legend Series went to Huntington Beach’s Robby Czub. 35 Legends cars joined the action for opening night with another strong contingent expected on Saturday night.
Kyle Borden and Brandon Jones have split the Bomber victories this season. Cottonwood’s Borden is tied for the championship lead with Happy Valley’s Scott Macleod. Dustin Hillis, Bobby Crowell, and David Dillinger, Sr. are the balance of the top-five Bomber drivers this season.
Peter Smith, Travis Root, Hue Moua, Austin Graves, and Colton Stankey are the top-five in the current Hornet standings. 17 different drivers have competed so far in the 2025 edition of the four-cylinder, grassroots division.
All four divisions are invited to join the action beginning with an optional practice session on Friday night. Gates open at 11am with cars on the track at 1pm. On Saturday, pit gates open at 10am while grandstand gates open at 5pm. Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for 7pm.
