PAHULE DOUBLES UP ON SECOND NIGHT OF SUMMER SIZZLER IN STOCKTON

STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA (June 22, 2025) – Brentwood’s Jeffrey Pahule doubled up on the second night of Delta Speedway’s Summer Sizzler, claiming both the Non-Wing and A-Class features for the Micro Sprints action in Stockton. Jett Yantis of Bakersfield and Braxon Vasconcellos of Visalia each won their second main events of the weekend as well while Huxcen Roush of Riverdale won in the Jr. Sprints. Photo by Bob Messer

“Since the A-Class race, I went into that race with no power steering and running a curb like that was gnarly. Shoutout to Delta for that. That was a really good track all night. It was definitely tiring with no power steering,” Pahule said.

Pahule started on the outside pole and took the lead on lap eight from fast-timer Brody Rubio of Manteca. Pahule then maintained the lead over a bevy of restart challenges from Bakersfield’s Jett Yantis. Springville’s Cameron Paul nabbed second from Yantis in the final corner when Yantis tagged the wall. Yantis settled for third ahead of Arizona’s Quinn Thuerin and Fresno’s Mattix Salmon. Points leader Nikko Panella of Stockton, Thurein, and Salmon split the heat races.

Jeffrey Pahule also claimed the 25-lap A-Class feature, storming into the lead by just the second lap of competition. Kyle Fernandez of Tracy finished second followed by points leader Landon Henry, Kaiden Gowen, and Dalton Parreira. Henry led qualifying action while Jackson Kohler and Fernandez snared the heat races.

In Super 600 action Jett Yantis won an early battle with points leader Nikko Panella of Stockton then never relinquished the lead in the 30-lap contest for victory. Friday winner and Saturday fast-time qualifier Alex Panella ran down his younger brother for second in lapped traffic then completed the pass on lap 27 after a series of restarts. Salmon finished fourth followed by Friday A-Class winner Dalton Parreira. Opening night race winner Colton Key and Salmon were the heat race winners.

Braxon Vasconcellos of Visalia doubled up with his second consecutive Delta Speedway win in the 25-lap Restricted Main Event. Kasey Leal scored a career-best second place finish in Stockton followed by Friday runner-up Aubri Huckleberry in third. Points leader Briggs Davis of Manteca and Bryson Sozinho of Hanford were the balance of the top-five finishers. Davis had a strong points night with fast-time in qualifying as well. Huckleberry and Maya Mauldin of Rancho Murieta won the heat races.

Huxcen Roush of Riverdale won his second Delta Jr. Sprints feature of 2025 after finishing third on Friday. Friday winner Easton Wright finished second followed by Lucas and Logan Fenn and Kendyl Leal. Wright and Samantha Dozier won the heat races.

Up next for the California Micro Sprint scene is the Hoosier Tire California Speedweek, racing July 1 at Plaza Park Raceway, July 2 at Lemoore Jet Bowl, July 3 at Plaza Park Raceway, and concluding Saturday July 5 for the big bear trophies at Delta Speedway.
