OCEAN AND PETALUMA HOST ANOTHER BIG WEEKEND OF WMR ACTION

Both nights of competition will air live on FloRacing and be joined by 360 Sprint Cars, with Friday’s races including the Ocean Sprints presented by Taco Bravo and Saturday’s races featuring the Sprint Car Challenge Tour.

Las Vegas’ Kyle Hawse continues to lead the championship standings in the No. 20 Sunland Wood Products entry with an average finish of 4.9 and perfect attendance across the entire season. He leads 2021 champion Blake Bower of Brentwood by 36 markers entering the weekend. Bower swept the Ocean-Petaluma doubleheader weekend on July 15 and 16, lifting his season to seven wins and an average finish of 3.5 in the Orland Public Auto Auction No. 9.

Moorpark’s Todd Hawse has the Hawse Abbey Carpet No. 31 in third followed by the No. 32 Blud Lubricants entry of Cory Brown of Peoria, Ariz. Bryant Bell has advanced into fifth in the standings in Tony Boscacci’s Toyota Walnut Creek No. 09.

Lodi’s Nate “Gator” Wait, French Camp’s Sage Bordenave, Surprise, Ariz.’s Drake Edwards, Upper Lake’s Brody Petrie, and Goodyear, Ariz.’s Chloe High round out the series top-ten. Other regulars have included Santa Cruz’s Logan Mitchell in the No. 96x Mayer Iron entry and entries from Cameron Beard, primarily driven by Antioch and Petaluma champion Shawn Arriaga.

Teams who travel from more than 240 miles to compete will be eligible for a part of the $400 in road warrior money offered at each round this season.
