JOLYNN WILKINSON TO COMPETE IN OPENING WEEKEND OF THE BMR DRIVERS ACADEMY

HUEYTOWN, ALABAMA (March 2, 2021) – 17-year-old Jolynn “JoJo” Wilkinson has signed for the opening weekend of the inaugural BMR Drivers Academy, where she will drive the 625hp stock cars at Roseville, Calif.’s All American Speedway March 26-27. Wilkinson is the latest participant for the NASCAR Development Program that will utilize identically prepared ARCA West equipment owned by Bill McAnally Racing.

The 2020 Sayre Speedway Pro Late Model championship runner-up participated in the BMR Drivers Academy testing weekend in January at Roseville, working with championship-winning spotter and crew chief Travis Sharpe. She will lean on the lessons learned testing on the uniquely shaped .333-mile oval just outside of Sacramento. Each series event features multiple main events, with Wilkinson’s opening weekend to include a race on both Friday and Saturday. Both will be streamed live by SPEED SPORT TV.

“Having the opportunity to participate and test for the BMR Drivers Academy was an amazing experience with top notch equipment, the best driving coaches, meeting incredible people in this sport, and so much knowledge obtained even off the track. To continue this opportunity with Bill McAnally Racing is something I have worked and prepared for going on nine years.”

Bill McAnally Racing is a ten-time ARCA and NASCAR regional championship-winning team with over 100 victories. The BMR Drivers Academy will see up to 14 full-time drivers battling throughout the season.

Wilkinson’s 2021 campaign opens this weekend with the Alabama 200 for Pro Late Models at Montgomery Motor Speedway. Her sponsors include US Tank & Cryogenic Equipment, Instacoat Premium Products, Automart South, Turner Excavating, and GARC.

“From small town Hueytown, Alabama to a California racetrack chasing a dream. To say I am excited and thankful is an understatement. Family, sponsors, and fans motivating and believing me is what’s going to keep pushing me forward.”

Wilkinson’s full 2021 schedule will be announced soon.
