LAS VEGAS’ REIF BROTHERS READY TO OPEN 2019 SEASON ON SATURDAY

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (March 5, 2019) – Las Vegas’ brothers Tanner Reif, 13, and Tyler Reif, 11, return to Madera Speedway on Saturday, opening their 2019 season in the MAVTV-televised 51FIFTY Jr. Late Model Series. The brothers enter the 70 lap season opener with a focus on challenging for the coveted series championship for drivers ages 10-16 years old.

All nine races from Madera, CA are televised for later broadcasts on MAVTV, available on channel 214 on DirecTV. They can also be streamed on LucasOilRacing.TV.

Tanner Reif came close to tasting the championship in 2018, tying for second in the standings just 18 points behind the points lead. Reif drives the #43 Victory Circle chassis with a 602 crate engine. His 2018 season included his first career victory in August and added an additional four podium finishes. Most notably, Reif clicked off a remarkable six fast-times throughout the year.

He scored four consecutive fast-times to end the season and his summer stretch from June to September included all podium finishes. The momentum continued into his home race track in Las Vegas, where he anchored a one-two finish for the Reif brothers in a 40 lap feature during the West Coast Short Track championships.

“I’m just excited to get back into the seat of the car,” Tanner said. “We didn’t do a lot of off-season racing, so I’m ready!”

Tyler Reif made a big impression on Madera Speedway last season, with his victory in July among the most exciting in series history. The photo-finish win ahead of his brother made him the youngest winner in series history – a series that has already produced race winners in higher levels in the sport after just three seasons of existence. He had four total finishes within the top-four and qualified within the top-four four times as well. Four may as well be the lucky number for car #7, which this year will be a new Jackson Race Cars chassis powered by a 602 crate engine.

“Tony Jackson built me a new car for this year,” Tyler said. “I’m looking forward to figuring it out and seeing how many top 3 finishes I can get in it.”

Tyler Reif’s resume at Madera also includes the 2017 Mini Cup championship. The Reif Racing #7 Mini Cup will get put to its paces again in 2019 when Leila Trimmer from Undaunted Apparel climbs aboard. Both Reif brothers are eager to help Leila’s season get off to a strong start in a 20 lap main event on Saturday as well.

Reif Racing wishes to thank its sponsors Power Gen Components, Vegas Fastener, Boulder Boats, Undaunted Apparel, CSM Graphics, Silver State Transports, Hampton Inn & Suites, AXCEL Sports, and Powder Coating Plus for their support.
